I’m a believer in Ober, but was likely over-stocked at pitcher and so decided that Ober would likely bring me the sort of return I was looking for. With a glaring hole at catcher on the roster, this lateral move to swap a good young arm for a good up and coming catcher made the most sense for me from the various options that presented themselves. Good luck to Bailey on his new team, and thanks to the Mariners for the straightforward trade talks.
