After deep diving into our 40 man roster - we didn't see much of a path for ABs for Pederson & O'Hearn other than being assets in case of injury.  Red Sox believe clearing a few roster spots and using the two spots on prospects is of better usage for us.
Although not a Mariner, JR Ritchie is a Seattle kid in a great organization that has a proven track record for developing pitchers.  We like using a roster spot gambling on this kids potential.

Thanks to the O's as always for the great talks.  Awesome GM to negotiate with!

Baltimore confirms.

Orioles will actually get a bit of hitting help with Pederson and O'Hearn (which is kinda' sad!). Ritchie will be missed and we do wish him all the best with TJ recovery. Good talks with BOS, appreciate it as always!
