BAL/BOS Trade - MasterShonuff - 02-06-2024 Red Sox send: OF Joc Pederson 3.3m in '24 & '25 OF/1B Ryan O'Hearn 2m in '24 & '25 Orioles send: P JR Ritchie pc-na After deep diving into our 40 man roster - we didn't see much of a path for ABs for Pederson & O'Hearn other than being assets in case of injury.  Red Sox believe clearing a few roster spots and using the two spots on prospects is of better usage for us. Although not a Mariner, JR Ritchie is a Seattle kid in a great organization that has a proven track record for developing pitchers.  We like using a roster spot gambling on this kids potential. Thanks to the O's as always for the great talks.  Awesome GM to negotiate with! RE: BAL/BOS Trade - 201_Baseball - 02-06-2024 Baltimore confirms. Orioles will actually get a bit of hitting help with Pederson and O'Hearn (which is kinda' sad!). Ritchie will be missed and we do wish him all the best with TJ recovery.
