Rule Change Vote: Get Rid of Conferences

Get rid of the AFC and NFC conferences, and have the top 12 teams overall make the playoffs. Top four overall teams would still receive a first-round bye (was formerly top two seeds in each conference). 

The conference-based payouts ($25 for top scoring, non-playoff team in each and Offensive and Defense Rookies of the Year) would become the top 2 of each of those categories overall. 

Thought is the true top 12 teams make playoffs each year, and enables owners to switch to open teams without affecting conference balance. 

If approved, would take affect for upcoming season.

Oppose. It’s not a hard no so if the majority wants it that’s fine. I just like the 2 conference champs battling in the Super Bowl

I’ll approve. not hung up either way but the conference champions meeting has less weight if I can pick my conference.

i dont care either way. the two conference thing might be cool though to keep it like the nfl with divisions. when i joined the league as a new team i asked for the jets since i am a fan and saw that they were open. i needed an afc team to swap with since i was told we couldnt have 16 teams in afc and 14 in nfc. since i am starting fresh i didn't think it was a big deal, and the pats agreed to swap from the get go like in march or april. i haven't played in the league and i haven't really studied what conference was better. i am fine whatever everyone wants to do. dont want you to change the format for me.
