Red Sox send:

SS Masyn Winn pc-na
SS David Hamilton pc-na
P Patrick Monteverde pc-na

Yankees send:

P Alex Cobb 4.5m 4.5m 4.5m



Red Sox add another win-now arm to the rotation.  Yankees receive a top-50 prospect in Winn;  a MLB-ready MI who has demonstrated some decent power and unquestionable speed in Hamilton.  Lastly, Monteverde is on the older side of being a prospect at 25 however is having a breakout year in AA for the Marlins and will likely be auditioning for a rotation spot this season judging how aggressive the Marlins are in promoting their kids ala Eury Perez.

Thanks to the Yankees for the great talks as always.  Best of luck to the start of their rebuild.

Approve. Cutting ties with a pitcher that will benefit this year and look to retool for the future with Winn who I love and don't mind getting back. Grabbing Hamilton who could bring his tools to the MLB roster soon and a pitcher having a great year that is worth watching in my eyes.
