Tampa had two MLB roster spots and several MiLB�holes to fill and $0 cap space.

We landed�Lynn last year for a 2nd rounder (paid) if memory serves, and he returned to Cy Young form. We wrestled all off season whether to extend or cash in. Though it may cost us this year,�the net $6M(est)�will offer some flexibility.�

The key return is Top 100 C/1B�Yainer Diaz. Swapping him for Campusano is a hedge. With Lee on the roster we likely ensure at a minimum the�catching and possibly 1B�heir apparent in Houston.


Stefanic was a player we wanted last FA. Will fit nicely with Yurchak as a solid bat who should someday see every day playing time.
Suarez is a relaible enough RP to bring some SV/HLD back to the pitching ledger.
1.25�and 3.06 sweeten any deal.

We put real money on Lynn to win the AL Cy Young, so it wasn't an easy decision

Given that Max and JV were priced out of KC reach, Tampa�feels this offer helps both teams.��
