New Pirates checking in.  Just gotta say…….yikes.  We have some work ahead of us.  However, our first block is as follows: 

2B/OF Whit Merrifield, $6,100,000 2024 and 2025.  Willing to pay his entire 2024 amount to facilitate a deal

3B JD Davis, $4,000,000 in 2024-2025.  Willing to pay his entire 2024 amount

SS JP Crawford, $1,900,000 in 2024.  Willing to pay his entire 2024 amount

OF Mike Yastremzki, $5,300,000 in 2024-2025.  Willing to pay his entire 2024 amount

Also, willing to discuss just about anyone at this point.  Until I get a better grasp on contract rules, I am going to hold Dane Dunning and Patrick Wisdom.  Additionally, Dylan Cease is not likely to be moved at this point.  I think 2022 is the better valuation on him, and I’m a stubborn owner as folks in my main league can attest with Christian Yelich from 2019 to now.

What are we looking for?  Prospects and draft picks.  This system isn’t getting better overnight and has maybe two actual prospects for 35 slots.
