the thought was to wait until after the bulk of memorial day weekend so as to not stall out for a couple days, but I suppose there is no harm in it.

If someone wants Omer Yurtseven, he is yours for a second round pick. $2.5m this season and then a FA (can be resigned). With the Dedmon trade and Spoelstra's recent comments, it seems Yurtseven is close to returning and will be Bam's main back-up - so could be a solid center option for a playoff run and low-cost flyer on a young guy who has been productive in the past when he got minutes.
