Dodgers cash in another clutch in-season signing.  Took this opportunity to bolster the depth at 3B in acquiring a former 1st round pick in Burger who is showing promising signs with the White Sox after battling a few torn achilles.  Acquiring Burger today and Gunnar Henderson yesterday addressed a huge 3B weakness with the Dodgers as we look forward to the near future with our crop of young players!  Battenfield doesn't produce K's but throws 4 solild pitches and looks to possibly become a QS stat collector for an org. with a proven track record of developing young pitchers.  I'm a Mariners homer so it hurts a little to lose Stoudt, but we had to make a roster move to make room for this trade and offered Stoudt to the Royals to foster good relations with my trading partners.

Confirm. Am high on Battenfield, but as you've probably noticed from my recent trades, I'm making a run for it. I felt like this was worth it because Carpenter's salary is only 500k 500k, and with him hitting in the Yankee lineup, as long as he doesn't get hurt, I should get some decent return investment from him. Hopefully he stays hot.
