Dodgers taking a chance on the Bellinger resurrection.  He'll be going into next season at the age of 28 in July so still good years in front of him.  We have LOTS of cap space going into next season to eat his steep cap cost.  In addition, will entertain the option of extending his contract going into this offseason at a cheap cost IF he can get back to at least 75% of his MVP season.  Really like Stowers (acquired him in a trade) however with the recent addition of Adell and Duran in the OF, Stowers fell down the depth chart.  Rays take some bad pre season signings from me to free up roster spots to incentivize me taking Bellinger's contract.

Rays confirm. I need to clear cap space for some potential extensions next year. I have to clear off two players to make room for the additions but that’s okay as it basically forces me to do the inevitable anyways. Stowers was a surprising offer in the trade and I’m happy to take him on.
