Rays send Framber Valdez ($4M thru 2026)�to the Yankees�

Rays get back pick 1.08 and 3.08

Rays agree to pay $3M in�towards Valdez 2022 salary

Rash of injuries to my Bench players and the demotion of all three of my young CF prospects dashed my slim chances to at least put up a fight.

Already, the Rays pitching staff is a conglomeration of rehab projects and cheap vets.

Valdez was going to waste and felt trading him for a prospect and picks was the best option.

Had two interesting offers but Artie has been a trooper.

Pick 1.08 gives me a Top 100 player similar to what was offered and�flexibilty to choose down the road how to proceed.�

It also�spreads the wealth via competitive balance within the league.

This give us our third #1 pick in 2023 and an additional pick in the top 70.

could use another pitcher. got kaprellian and severino banged up. could possibly get more for 1.8 at the deadline maybe, but i rather try and compete from the get go. i posted 1.8 was available. this was the best offer i got this morning.
