This is similar to a deal that these two teams made last year.� ChW agrees to take on some salary and gets a 2nd round pick to help with their rebuild.� Pit sacrifices a round 2 pick to�gain cap room and get�Lauer.� Pit understands that there may be an injury risk involved, but Lauer has decent upside�and only 25, so willing to take on the�risk.

Good talks with Rob as we had to do some negotiating to get this deal done.

Pale hose confirm. Gibson gives me innings while he is getting knocked around. Lauer may prove useful but I'm in a position where it is just as easy to cut bait on a bum shoulder and get a pick.
