Webb has had an ERA right around 3.00 the past 2 years and he is in the last year of his prospect contract. It will cost $11m to extend him. Realmuto has lifetime .783 OPS, much better than most catchers. Realmuto has 2 years at 8.6m left on his contract.

Abel is #42 overall ranked prospect and Weimer is #82 according to MLB.com. Abbott is 23 and has k'd 224 in 151 minor league IP with a lifetime 1.18 whip. All 3 of these prospects are solid. I can see an owner who is rebuilding giving up the 2 veterans to get this young package, although it could be argued that he could get more for Webb and Realmuto. On the other hand, I've seen worse veteran for prospect trades go thru.

Like someone else mentioned, this doesn't scream veto to me. Approve.
