MLB contracts

- Bid is for total contract value.

- 48 hours must elapse from last bid for the player to be won (this applies to prospect bids too).

- Upon winning a player the topic will be pinned where the owner shall post the contract.

- Any bid which would put a team over the salary cap in any year will be invalid.

- Minimum starting bid is 300k which is 1 year at the minimum salary.

- For contracts of up to 19.9m, subsequent bids must be at least 100k higher.
- For contracts between 20m and 49.9m - at least 500k higher than previous bid
- For contracts between 50m and 99.9m - at least 1m higher than previous bid
- For all contracts over 100m - at least 2m higher

Prospect Contracts

- Players must be signed to a real life team, have not exceeded 150 AB or 50 IP in the majors over their entire career and not be eligible for our league's next amateur draft in order to be bid on as prospects.

- Minimum bid is PC (prospect contract), with PC+100k being the next increment.

- PC bids cost $300k with the first $3m you spend on PC bidding coming from your non-tradeable bonus pool.

- Hence you could spend your entire pool on one player (PC+$2.7m) or spread it out over as many as 10 players.

- Once your bonus pool has been exhausted all PC bids ($300k) and additional signing bonuses count entirely towards the salary cap in the current season (a bid may use up the remaining amount in your pool and be supplemented by cap room).

- If you start a thread from May 1st onward you will get a 20% discount (rounded down to nearest 100k) on the final cost if you win the player.

- If promoted to majors PC players count $600k for current season.

- Prospect players may be offered major league deals; bidding could go PC+800k (equal to $1.4m in cash), $1.6m, PC+$1.2m
