To make room for Allen, Miami cuts DT Quinnen Williams NYJ ($11M x 5 years). Cap hits:

The Dolphins went out and searched for a good DE. Dead cap aside, this deal ends up saving us $40M in the long run by getting rid of the Quinnen Williams contract in the first year. We’re hoping Allen proves he’s a cheaper and better replacement in the long term while giving us DE points rest of season.
