Cutting Samanic would put you over the cap. Sitting in G-League his cap isn't currently counted. But if you drop him there would be a 2.3m penalty to hit your cap. And if you demote another rookie 1st rounder (Kessler for instance) that won't clear it up because their 1st yr salary is guaranteed on the cap.
