NYMets send Lorenzo Cain 3.3M and Yermin Mercedes 600K
Necessary exchange to make Odorizzi/Cain-Mercedes�contracts balance.�

Literally have chased to top 10 catching prospects and got shot down at every turn. Mercedes is something of a head case but has produced at every level. Hoping he can recapture is rookie glory. Tampa had picks to use and felt it was good value/risk.
Adds depth and trade bait options well into the future.
Odorizzi is returning from a leg injury in a few days and should help Mets down the stretch or turn into a trade bait if he fades. Mets looked light on early�picks as well so the 2.21 should help.

The price to swap cain for someone that may be playable is yermin. Odorizzi gives me flexibility to either have a player and/or possibly flip him for cap space if he does play. Yermin could be very good hitter for the catching position but I have diaz and possibly fortes blocking him on my roster.
