LAD / TBR - Trade - MasterShonuff - 06-24-2022 Dodgers receive: Whit Merrifield (Rays keep contract) Rays receive: SS Wilman Diaz P Seth Johnson Dodgers using its farm system depth to gamble on a in-season turnaround from Whit.  Rumors have it that the Royals are strongly considering actually trading him this season so maybe a new team will rejuvenate him as well.  I have truck loads of cash to spend in 2023 and hoping Whit gives me a reason to resign him at 12.4m next season as I need better OF's and need his usual stolen base output.   Thank you to the Rays for the super easy talks.  Best of luck to them!
