Trades - tomviolence - 07-22-2021
The trade deadline will be TBD based on the real NHL trade deadline but corresponding to what week it falls in during our schedule.
- All players can be traded.
- Cash can be exchanged on a contract as long as the cash is equal to or less than the contract of the player/players being traded.
- Draft picks can be traded, but you must be paid for each year of picks you are trading. For example, if you have paid for only the 2020-21 season, then you can only trade 2021 picks (the corresponding draft to that season). If you decide to pay in advance for the 2021-22 season as well, then you can also trade 2022 picks. No trading of future picks without future payment will be allowed. This is due to the league being a money league and will discourage owners/GMs from depleting a team and then not returning. If a team is deemed to be depleted and abandoned, league management reserves the right to award compensation picks to the depleted team in the new owner process.
Trades will be voted on by any active league members and be processed no sooner than 48 hours after being confirmed by both parties. You may vote to approve or veto with reasoning encouraged in the latter case.
To pass a trade requires at least 4 approvals and a ratio of 3 approvals for every veto. If the minimum number of votes are not posted, the trade will pass so long as there's no reason otherwise (lopsided, veto ratio, etc.).
