MLB contracts
- Bid is for total contract value.
- 48 hours must elapse from last bid for the player to be won (this applies to prospect bids too).
- Upon winning a player the topic will be pinned where the owner shall post the contract.
- Any bid which would put a team over the salary cap in any year will be invalid.
- Minimum bid is 400k which is 1 year at the minimum salary (100k increments after this).
- On Bids of 20m or more, raises must be at least 500k higher than the previous bid.
- On bids of 50m or more, raises must be at least $1m higher than the previous bid.
- On bids of 100m or more, raises must be at least $2m higher than the previous bid.
Prospect Contracts
- Players must be signed to a real life team, have not exceeded 150 AB or 50 IP and not be eligible for our league's next amateur draft in order to be bid on as prospects (aka 'specs').
- Minimum bid is PC (prospect contract), with PC+100k being the next increment.
- Any signing bonus added to a PC bid counts entirely towards the salary cap in the current season.
- If promoted to majors PC players count $500k for current season.
- Spec players may be offered major league deals; bidding could go PC+800k (equal to $1.3m in cash), $1.5m, PC+$1.1m
- Each team is limited to 25 total signings after opening day.
