Seattle continues its rebuilding by adding a top 50 prospect, along with two additional solid pieces. Rosario should be money this year in the middle of the CLE lineup, but I do have some concerns about the plate discipline long term and he doesn't really fit into the rebuild. Toronto is getting a great run producer who is still at a very affordable contract for 2022/23.

Confirm, Toronto has opened the competitive window and Rosario is better than any remaining FA OFs out there. He actually raised his BB rate last year, obviously in a short sample but it's not nothing. Pairing him with JRam should make watching CLE games fun this year.
It'll be painful watching Valera become a superstar, which he has the tools to do, and I really like Burns and Haskins (moved up in the draft to get Burns). But being able to make this deal without giving up any prospects expected up this year was important for me, so giving up some value in prospects a little further out is worth it.
Good to get a deal done with you over here, Grant! I'd say good luck with the rebuild but I've already seen what you can do with one, so now I'm thinking this might be a mistake....oh well, good luck anyway!
