SEA-TEX trade - tomviolence - 02-29-2024 The Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers have reached a trade agreement.  Seattle sends:  P Jose Soriano (pc na) 2nd round pick Texas sends: P Matt Manning (pc24) Move an RP with upside and pick for a young starter with upside we like in Manning. Wanted to fortify our rotation a little more, and we think this does that. Thanks to Sooner for the talks and TEX to confirm. RE: SEA-TEX trade - SoonerorLitigator - 02-29-2024 Confirm. I have a lot of depth at SP. Really like Manning, but this adds some depth and a longer term piece in the bullpen further fortifying a strength of the team and he is under control moving forward which other bullpen guys are not.
