SEA-BOS Trade - tomviolence - 02-15-2024 The Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox have reached a trade agreement.  Seattle sends:  CF Mike Trout (20.5M, 2024, paid by SEA) Boston sends:  SP Bryan Woo (pc26) SS Colt Emerson (pcna) C Jeferson Quero (pcna) 4th round pick While the intriguing pairing of Ohtani and Trout drew us to claim Seattle when it was available, we likely we're going to sign him long term, and being Mainers fans, we love a return fronted by a young pitcher with great stuff in Woo, who will likely be the best No. 5 pitcher in baseball this year, and two top spects in Emerson and Quero, plus a little draft capital. We think this is a fair return for one of the games true stars. Thanks to Sean for the talks and Boston to confirm. RE: SEA-BOS Trade - SPowers - 02-15-2024 Confirm. Taking quite a leap of faith with Trout being a key piece who could push me to the top. There's a lot of risk, between the worsening lineup he's playing in, potential back issues, and the many other health issues he's dealt with.
