STL/BOS Trade - PirateDawg - 01-23-2024 St. Louis sends Ty France (due $4.2M in '24 and $4.2M in '25) and $3.2M in '24 coverage  to Boston FOR Jonathan Aranda (due $1.5M in '24 and $1.8M in '25). Nothing against France, but I'm looking for an impact bat. Hoping Aranda gets the PT he needs to progress. Rays' offseason thus far indicates that desire. Boston to confirm. RE: STL/BOS Trade - MasterShonuff - 01-23-2024 Red Sox confirm. Cardinals owner found a dumping ground for France in me. There was really no path for me to put Aranda in the lineup due to my depth so he was purely a bench stash which now France takes his spot. This deal most likely doesn't turn around for me and Aranda breaks out but hey I have another Mariner on my team now!
