Confirmed. I found that with my current contracts, I could not provide my team with a full lineup and the holes in my lineup were offsetting the numbers being posted by my best hitters.
Put Stanton on the block publicly last weekend and I felt this was a fair offer. He has not produced much since I got this team mainly due to injuries. Now that I've traded him, he'll probably hit 59 homers again.
I needed to get an outfielder back and I'm satisfied with Schwarber, considering the payroll I'm gaining. The others may eventually provide depth.
In Pat's offer, he stated "and we each cover this yrs salaries", so it should be he is paying Schwarber's salary this year and I'm paying Stanton's this year. And then as stated above, I'm paying $10m on Stanton in 2022.
I think Pat is one of the best owners and his offers are almost always excellent ones, well thought out. Thanks Pat and all the best.
