KC/WAS trade - blurred - 01-15-2023 Royals receive: Jeremy Pena (pc 2025) Chase Silseth (pc-na) Yainer Diaz (pc-na) Nick Frasso (pc-na) Pick 3.06 (2024) Nationals receive: Luis Castillo - $8.7m x 3 Pick 2.30 (2023) Pick 2.25 (2024) Pick 4.25 (2024) My second major move of the winter,�further�using up some of my depth�at shortstop, again sees me�acquire�some more cost-controlled frontline pitching. I've always been a fan of Castillo, and like the move out of Great American Smallpark for his prospects. Grabbing back a couple of second rounders helps offset the�loss of depth to my minors system it took to get the deal done, but I'm happy to do that to pay the SP premium. RE: KC/WAS trade - SandlotLinC25 - 01-16-2023 Confirmed. Wanted to get a young stud SS, and Pena we believe will be a star for many years. We gather some good prospects on the other side of it and while losing an ace certainly hurts we are looking elsewhere for pitching. Good talks as always my friend.
