BAL/WAS trade - blurred - 01-15-2023 Baltimore receives: Anthony Volpe (pc-na) Addison Barger (pc-na) Joel Diaz (pc-na) Washington receives: George Kirby (pc-2025) My winterwas spent looking forcost-controllable frontline pitching, which brought me to Kirby. In order to get it done it meant shipping out one of my blue-chip prospects in Volpe, who the Orioles coveted, along with a couple of other minors options. Even if he doesn't take a step forward from his promising start to his career he'll be affordable into the future, which fits my aims. Used my best trade chip to get a hitter I like. Thanks to nationals for the good talks, wish him luck this year.
