TOR/TBR Trade - SPowers - 08-02-2022 Toronto sends: 1B/2B/3B Owen Miller pc-2024 ($0.6M paid 2022) Tampa Bay sends: Pick 2.09 Toronto has some decent hitting depth and a few guys about expire their minor eligibility, so moving a solid bat in Miller to recoup some draft capital. We got youth in the minors, so we were aiming for Miller or Sheets to bridge the gap. Wanted Sheets power, but we like Miller's utility. Cheap bat and has enough of a track record that we feel he will be a reliable producer. His K rate is up and Avg is down from his time in minors. If he can find that projected hit tool it will be a solid move.
